![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed the sword fight between an experienced Alvin and a young and(at the time) inexperienced but determined Hiccup followed by Hiccup outsmarted Alvin and the Monstrous Strangulator. Personally I like the journey in Book 2: How to be a Viking. The question I would ask is what your favorite book was and/or what your favorite of Hiccup's adventures. The Deadly Shadow was also super cool, and was morally one of the strongest characters in the story with the way he stayed by Fishlegs and Hiccup and kept his promise to Termagant. It would be impossible not to say Toothless, he is the closest thing to a main character, and no other dragon is remotely as important as Toothless is, both to the plot as well as just being a character, seeing as he was one of the 10 lost things.(and the very best one at that). I'll start by answering the question which was "What was your favorite dragon character" I just finished the books, which I really enjoyed, and asked a question on the post, but I didn't want to spoil anything or talk about anything people weren't expecting, so I figured we could have a proper book discussion instead. Hey everyone, I was just hoping to talk about the books a little. I like to think that Cressida Cowell had this in mind when she wrote HTSADJ. Give an example of how operant conditioning might be used to train an. This would be Innocence, because she is the most sympathetic and compassionate of the heads. The Superego: Acts as the moral guide, Based on parental and societal values. The Superego develops in later life, and acts as a moral compass and contributes feelings of guilt and moral ideology. The Ego is representative of the realistic and logical aspect of thinking, and this would be Patience because he is the decision-maker of the three. ![]() This would be Arrogance, who is the most aggressive and selfish of the three heads, and most focused on immediate desire, unlike Patience and Innocence. The Id is present from birth, and is the selfish animalistic desire, running on pure instinct and need. Sigmund Freud’s theory of personality is that it consists largely of three beings. So The Deadly Shadow is representative of the three main protagonists of the series, with Fishlegs being Innocence, Camicazi being Arrogance, and Hiccup being Patience, but what if they’re also based on the Freudian concept of the Id, the Ego, and the Superego? ![]()
